IOANNIS MANOLEDAKIS
Born in Thessaloniki. PhD Law, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1967), research fellow (1972). Professor of Criminal Law at Aristotle University since 1973. Visitor Professor at the University of Thrace (Law Department) (1974-1977).
President of the Faculty of Legal and Economic Sciences of Aristotle University for two terms (1982-1986). Rector of the Faculty of Legal and Economic Sciences of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Member of the Senate (1986-1988). Lawyer since 1963 and Lawyer Emeritus since 1995. Director of the Lawyers' Association magazine 'Armenopoulos' (1974-1988). Founder and Director of the magazine 'Hyperaspisi' (Defense) specializing in criminal law and fundamental liberties (1991-2000).
Has cooperated with the Editorial Boards of many magazines. He has written 30 books of scientific context and over 200 studies. Has taught Criminal Law, Philosophy of Law and Introduction to Science. He has been honored by the Municipality of Thessaloniki, The Lawyers' Association of Thessaloniki, the University of Thrace, the Military School, The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and others. In 2003 he was elected Corresponding Member of the Athens' Academy.
