Stavros Bletsas

Stavros Bletsas was born in Eleousa, Ioannina.
He graduated from University of Ioannina, School of Philosophy.

He has been a teacher of Greek literature for 26 years
in schools in Ioannina, Agrinio and Preveza.

For the last 15 years he has lived and worked in Thessaloniki.

He started writing verses in his early university years.
He was influenced by the great Greek poets
as well as by the demotic song
with which he grew up in his village and in Ioannina.

Anti-aspirations and an Ode to Rhigas Pherraios is his first publication.
